– Liftgate Service: A liftgate is a mechanism at the back of the truck that can raise and lower shipments from the ground to the truck.
This is especially useful for heavy items that can’t be lifted manually as well as picking up or delivering to residential addresses with no loading dock. With our new rates, the liftgate service at Day & Ross has dropped from $96.23 to just $50, and at GLS Freight, from $72.45 to $63.
– Residential Delivery: This service pertains to deliveries made to residential addresses rather than commercial locations. The new rate at Day & Ross has now come down from $86.25, to just $30 and at GLS Freight, it’s down from $68.31 to $59.40.
– Inside Delivery: This means the carrier will deliver the shipment inside the premises rather than just at the door. With GLS Freight, this service has been reduced from the original $68.26 to $59.36.
– Delivery Appointment: This service allows the recipient to schedule a specific delivery window. With Day & Ross, this service (which includes the residential charge) has dropped from $50.02 to just $40.
